HEYMAN POON, HOMELESS, AND EVEN MORE
“With diplomas from St. Martin’s College of Arts & Design as well as the University of Sheffield, Heyman Poon founded Homeless in 2003. Set up in the off-center and eccentric neighborhood of Yau Ma Tei, the first Homeless store enhanced its retail business with exhibit/collections presented within the walls of the LCX department store.
With the opening of its flagship store on Gough Street, in the very heart of this island city, Heyman Poon became the pioneer/promoter of the „trendyfication“ of this thoroughfare that’s just a bit old school.
Between 2006 and 2013, riding on the coattails of Homeless, he created several businesses (Lost & Found, Mr. Blacksmith, Umbra) as well as two food businesses (Basement and Full Food), each with its own, exclusive location, in a noteworthy concentration on Gough Street.
As for Homeless & Sidekick, the sister brand/shop, it was launched just in time for the 10th anniversary of its parent company.”
